RIDING INSTRUCTION:
Instruction in Hunter/Jumpers, Dressage, Cross-Country, Western, Vaulting, Driving, and general horsemanship. Balance seat based and use of 4-H and Pony Club standards. MA licensed since 1994. B.S. Degree in Equine Science/Management. Freelance or lessons on one of over 16 school horses at the Craig Equestrian Center/Mt. Toby Stables in Leverett, MA. Consider me your Jane of all horse trades!

TRAINING:
Training experience includes: Breaking Horses, 2 and 3 year olds, Drafts, Stallions, Abused Horses, Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds, Hard-to-handle horses, Sale Horses, Warmbloods, Morgans, QH’s, Appaloosa’s, and many others. Combine simple positive and negative reinforcement training with a strong horse sense having ridden over 150 different horses in many disciplines. I work with the horse on the ground, in a round pen, and on their back to achieve the owners’ desired result.
Up to 1 hour of training: $35
Up to 1 hour of training over a half-hour of travel: $40

JUDGING:
I am a certified 4-H Fitting and Showmanship judge and have judged such shows as Stoneleigh Burnham’s Family Weekend Show, UMASS Livestock Classic, Norfolk County 4-H Open Horse Show, Marshfield Hoofbeats Open 4-H Horse Show, Billerica Horseman’s Small Frye Show, Mare Willow Vaulters Camp show in Carver, MA, Trail Judge at UMASS Schooling Show, Obstacle Judge at 8-10 Mile Trail Ride in Central MA, and apprenticed with local judges including Joe Lombard, Mary Hall, Amy McCune, and Martha Cantrill.

TRAILERING:
Hold a current Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class B with specific truck and trailer experience working for Cahillane Dodge and Orchard Trailers. Newer truck and trailer up-to-date on all maintenance. (Kingston two-horse bumper pull, extra wide/extra tall can fit horses up to 18 hands and 2,000 lbs.) And it helps to have a flawless driving record!
$50 minimum
$1.00/mile (measured from trailer’s home to drop off point of horses)
$20 flat fee per horse
Add ½ tank of gas for mileage of 1-50 miles (depends on current costs of gas)
Add full tank of gas for mileage of 50+ miles (add subsequent full tanks each 300 miles)

HORSE SHOWS:
Coaching: $30 per student per show ($25 for students with Rohan pads and polo shirts)
Trailering: $20 off normal trailering rate ($25 off for students w/ Rohan Riding Team)
Braiding: $45 per horse per show
** Fees may be more for non-traditional shows (i.e. 2 or 3 day shows, finals, etc.)
